Mission Statement

Just B Consulting creates unique learning experiences where participants feel comfortable, welcome, and protected from judgement so they can share their experiences, show empathy, and grow the confidence and capacity needed to challenge inequities at work, at home, or in their community.

My name is B Adair and my pronouns are they/them or he/him (I'm okay with either!).

I was raised on a farm in East Central Alberta, in literally the most

conservative political riding in the entire country. While navigating

rural life as a queer and transgender human, I discovered my truest

passion: equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) advocacy.

It all started with healthcare advocacy as I worked for a decade as

a paramedic and in nursing; standing up for the rights of

vulnerable patients that weren't able to advocate for themselves.

I now specialize in helping organizations get started on their own

inclusion journey. Whether it's designing training events, performing

workplace assessments, reviewing policies, or designing an entire

EDI strategy, I'd love to guide you every step of the way.

I also get the exciting honour of sharing what I love the most

with  people through public speaking, mentoring, and facilitating

fun and interactive webinars and workshops that keep attendees

entertained, enlightened, and engaged.

I use my sense of humour, lived experiences, and relaxed personality to

connect with people from all walks of life ensuring they feel safe & comfortable to learn and ask questions. I've found that people absorb information better and feel more confident in their knowledge and skills in a relaxed, judgement-free learning environment.  This work is hard and emotionally demanding. I take pride in my ability to create spaces where the difficult conversations can happen but still enjoy the process (and often have fun at the same time!)

It's my goal to make everyone feel welcome, encouraged, and respected in everything I do.

My Values

  1. Demonstrating the integrity needed to lead by example

  2. Bringing my authenticity to each encounter, and using it to maintain a non-judgmental space where all are treated with compassion and respect

  3. Creating the trust needed to discuss sensitive or difficult information

  4. Sharing my passion for equity in a relaxed and safe environment
